# ChatGPT

> Connect via developer mode with OAuth, no API key.

ChatGPT supports MCP connectors on Plus/Pro/Team plans with **developer mode** enabled.

  <Step title="Enable developer mode">
    **Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the connector">
    **Settings → Apps & Connectors → Create** (or *Add custom connector*), then paste:

    https://searchthetrend.com/api/mcp
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize">
    ChatGPT redirects you to SearchTheTrend. Sign in and approve. No API key involved.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Use it in chats">
    Enable the SearchTheTrend connector in the chat's tools menu, then ask:

    > *"Search winning skincare ads in Spanish and show me the 5 longest-running ones."*

  ChatGPT requires connectors to be re-enabled per conversation in some plans. If tools don't fire, check the tools toggle for the current chat.
